Blackwell Flycatchers Rally Past North Platte 80s 5-0

July 2 2024 The Blackwell Flycatchers defeated the North Platte 80s 5-0 at Morgan Field, breaking a scoreless tie with one run in the fifth inning and four more in the sixth. Blackwell outhit North Platte 5-4 and committed no errors, while the 80s finished with one error.

Jadon Harper delivered the key offensive blow for Blackwell, going 1-for-1 with a three-run home run and three RBI. J. Dice added a two-run homer, two RBI, two hits and a walk. Blackwell also received hits from C. Pfafman and F. Geraldino, while Harper scored one run and Phillips drew a walk and scored.

Owen Little held North Platte scoreless over five innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out two. Harper earned the win after pitching a scoreless sixth, allowing two hits and striking out one. North Platte starter Hobie Hood worked five innings and allowed one run on two hits with five walks and three strikeouts before R. Schroeder surrendered four runs, two earned, on three hits in the sixth.
