Roswell Invaders Rally Past North Platte 80s 17-9

July 15 2024 The Roswell Invaders defeated the North Platte 80s 17-9 after collecting 18 hits at Joe Bauman. Roswell broke a scoreless tie with three runs in the second inning, added one in the third and three in the fifth before putting the game away with three runs in the seventh and seven in the eighth. North Platte answered with six runs in the third and three in the fifth but could not overcome the deficit.

Jose Sanchez led Roswell with four hits and four RBI, while Luis Moreno went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. Shane Morrow added three hits and scored four runs, and Lucas Scott had three hits, three runs and two RBI. Pinch-hitter Josh Walker contributed a hit and three RBI. Roswell finished with 18 hits and seven walks.

North Platte totaled eight hits, with Sean Bennett going 2-for-4 with two RBI. Roswell starter Oscar Paredes allowed nine runs seven earned on four hits and eight walks in 4.2 innings. Kobe Head earned the win with 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out two. Lake Fisher took the loss for North Platte after allowing three runs in two innings.
