North Platte 80s Rally Past Roswell Invaders 11-7

July 16 2024 The North Platte 80s defeated the Roswell Invaders 11-7 at Joe Bauman. North Platte totaled 12 hits and scored five runs in the fifth inning to take a 6-3 lead after Roswell had built a 3-1 advantage through three innings. The 80s added a run in the sixth two in the seventh and two in the ninth, while Roswell scored three times in the sixth and once in the eighth. Coby Tweten led North Platte with two hits three RBI and a run scored. Sean Bennett also collected two hits and drove in two runs, while Marcos Corrales and Luke Lee each had two hits. Derek Wood and Ryan Lutinski added two hits and one hit respectively. Roswell’s Robert Malone hit a home run and finished with one hit two RBI and one run scored. Jose Sanchez and Shane Morrow each had two hits and two hits respectively, with Sanchez contributing two RBI. Hobie Hood earned the win for North Platte after allowing seven hits and six earned runs in 5.2 innings. He walked five and struck out four. Zachary Fogle followed with 1.1 scoreless innings, and Corey Steward finished with 1.2 scoreless innings while striking out one. Alex Bolton took the loss for Roswell, surrendering 10 hits and seven runs in six innings with three strikeouts and two walks. North Platte committed no errors while Roswell was charged with four.
