North Platte 80s Rally Past Trinidad Triggers 15-14

July 20 2024 The North Platte 80s overcame an early seven-run deficit and defeated the Trinidad Triggers 15-14 at Bill Wood Field. Trinidad collected 17 hits and scored in each of the first five innings, but North Platte answered with an 11-run fourth inning to take an 11-7 lead. The teams traded runs throughout the remainder of the game before North Platte scored twice in the eighth inning to move ahead 15-14.

Marcos Cabrera led Trinidad with four hits, three runs, two RBIs and a home run. Peter Bocchino added three hits, three runs and two walks, while Omar Ortiz drove in three runs and Leyton Barry had three hits with an RBI. Luis Amador contributed two hits and two RBIs for the Triggers.

North Plattes Cristofer Hernandez delivered five RBIs on two hits, including a home run. Garrett Flaagan went 3-for-5 with four runs and an RBI, while Coby Tweten homered and drove in two runs. Foster1621.html>Kyle Foster also had a hit and two RBIs, and Luke Lee scored twice and added an RBI.

Lake Fisher earned the win for North Platte after allowing one run on three hits with one strikeout in one inning. Corey Steward recorded the save with a hitless inning and one strikeout. Trinidads Paul Mendoza took the loss after surrendering two runs on two hits in one inning.
