Garden City Wind Roll Past North Platte 80s 14-3

May 30 2025 The Garden City Wind defeated the North Platte 80s 14-3 at Bill Wood Field. Garden City collected 13 hits and scored in five different innings while North Platte finished with eight hits and committed four errors.

Garden City led 2-1 after five innings before breaking the game open with five runs in the sixth. The Wind added three runs in the eighth and four more in the ninth to pull away. North Platte scored once in the second and eighth innings and once in the ninth.

Jacob Talamante led Garden City with three hits in six at-bats, including a home run, and drove in seven runs. Jason Rooks went 4-for-5 with a home run, triple and double while recording four RBI. Kaleb Scull also homered, and Rob Morosetti added two hits and one RBI.

Will Hahnfeld earned the win after allowing one earned run on six hits in six innings with six strikeouts and two walks. Seth Christiansen worked two innings and allowed one unearned run while striking out two. Pierce Salbego took the loss for North Platte after five innings, allowing five hits and two runs, one earned, with five strikeouts.
