Garden City Wind Pull Away From North Platte 80s

June 24 2025 The Garden City Wind defeated the North Platte 80s 8-3 at Bill Wood Field. Garden City built an early advantage by scoring two runs in the first inning one in the second and three in the third before adding another run in the fourth and one in the seventh. North Platte scored once in the fifth and twice in the eighth.

Jason Rooks led Garden City’s 13-hit attack by going 2-for-5 with a home run two runs scored and two RBI. Dominic Enbody went 3-for-5 while Tobie Teke and Drew Woodley each collected two hits. Woodley added two doubles and an RBI and Kaleb Scull drove in a run.

Cole Lee earned the win for Garden City after allowing one run on four hits in five innings with six strikeouts and one walk. Seth Christiansen followed with two scoreless innings and two strikeouts. Jose Ballista and Ritter Steinmann completed the game for the Wind.

Trevor Nelson took the loss for North Platte after surrendering seven runs five earned on 11 hits in six innings. Ray White pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings with three strikeouts, but the 80s finished with seven hits and could not overcome Garden City’s early lead.
