North Platte 80s Rally Past Blackwell Flycatchers 10-4

June 29 2025 The North Platte 80s scored six runs in the eighth inning to pull away for a 10-4 victory over the Blackwell Flycatchers at Bill Wood Field. North Platte finished with nine hits and took advantage of seven walks, while Blackwell collected eight hits and committed three errors.

North Platte trailed 2-1 after four innings but moved ahead with a three-run sixth. The 80s then broke the game open in the eighth, turning a 4-4 contest into a 10-4 advantage. Caleb Copeland scored twice and drove in one run, Alex Kornblau went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and John Haimowitz added two hits, one RBI and one run. T.J. Beninati contributed two RBIs, while Rico Riley reached base three times on walks and scored three runs.

Blackwell’s Rudy Solis went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Dominic Scotti hit a home run while driving in two runs. Jack Skantze added two hits and scored once. Scotti also started on the mound and worked seven innings, allowing five hits and five runs, four earned, with six walks and four strikeouts.

Joe Barrons held Blackwell to five hits and three runs over seven innings, with one earned run, one walk and three strikeouts. Ray White earned the win after allowing two hits and one run in one inning of relief. North Platte’s victory made White the winning pitcher, while Scotti was charged with the loss.
