North Platte 80s Rally Past Blackwell Flycatchers 4-3

July 31 2025 The North Platte 80s rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Blackwell Flycatchers. Blackwell scored twice in the first inning and added another run in the third, but North Platte answered with one run in the third before scoring once in each of the seventh eighth and ninth innings to complete the comeback. Dawson Wedeking led Blackwell with two hits and two RBI, while Rey Lozano scored twice and Jack Skantze added a hit and a run. Blackwell finished with five hits and two errors. North Platte collected seven hits, led by Jake Boucher and John Haimowitz with two hits apiece. Boucher and Ryan Lutinski each drove in a run, and Haimowitz added a double. Pierce Salbego earned the win with a complete-game effort for North Platte, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking two over nine innings. Zach Meyer took the loss for Blackwell after allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits in eight innings with three walks and one strikeout. Glenn Simes pitched the final two-thirds of an inning for Blackwell.
