8/3/2025-Rob Morosetti scored the go-ahead run from third on a Jacob Talamante sacrifice fly to left field in the seventh inning as Garden City beat guest North Platte, 2-1, Sunday at Clint Lightner Field. The Winds Jason Rooks scored the games first run on a Tobie Teke infield grounder in the fourth but Ryan Lutinskis RBI single in the sixth knotted the score for the 80s. Will Hahnfeld and three relievers combined on a five-hitter for the Wind while North Plattes Mike Nestor and Eddie Kafton gave up four safeties. By sweeping the Mountain North title playoff series in two games, Garden City will now host Tucson for the Mountain Division championship.
